In a significant move to enhance the rotary-wing Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) ecosystem in India, Airbus Helicopters and Indamer have collaborated to deliver advanced after-market services for helicopters. The Nagpur facility, inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, will be a key hub among Indamer’s MRO service locations in Mumbai and New Delhi, authorized by Airbus Helicopters.
Romain Trapp, Executive Vice-President, Customer Support and Services for Airbus Helicopters, highlighted the importance of building a sustainable rotary-wing aviation ecosystem in India.
The collaboration aims to meet the growing fleet demands in India while advancing the country’s helicopter MRO ambitions through technical competencies.
Prajay Patel, Director, Indamer Aviation, expressed gratitude for Airbus’ recognition, emphasizing Indamer’s strategic commitment to rotary-wing MRO over a decade ago.
The partnership envisions fulfilling maintenance requirements domestically, aligning with Airbus in this collective vision.
The Indamer-Airbus Helicopters MRO is poised to deliver faster turnaround times, providing efficient after-market experiences for Airbus Helicopters customers not only in India but also across the broader South Asia region.
This collaboration marks another step in Airbus’ expanding industrial presence in India, contributing to the development of a mature aerospace ecosystem.
