    In a ceremony held at the Zonal Police Headquarters (ZPHQ) Jammu, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, Shri Anand Jain, IPS, awarded PSI Nitish Khajuria (EXJ-196485) with a Commendation Certificate Class-I and a cash reward for his exceptional work in investigating cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

    PSI Khajuria, who served as the In-charge of Police Post Pouni Chack at the time of the investigations, was recognized for his exemplary efforts that led to convictions in three major drug-related cases.

    These cases include FIR No. 36/2022 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act, FIR No. 80/2022 under Section 8/20 of the NDPS Act, and FIR No. 239/2022 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act and Section 48-F of the Excise Act. All cases were registered at Police Station Domana.

    The ADGP praised PSI Khajuria’s dedication and relentless pursuit in the fight against drug-related offenses. His investigative work, which successfully secured convictions, serves as a critical step in curbing narcotics crimes in the region.

    Shri Anand Jain emphasized that convictions in NDPS cases not only highlight the importance of thorough investigations but also send a strong message to those involved in illegal drug activities.

    The ceremony was a recognition of PSI Khajuria’s vital role in enforcing drug laws and ensuring justice in sensitive cases related to narcotics and psychotropic substances. His work exemplifies the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s commitment to making the region drug-free.
