
A Cross-Border Relationship or Conspiracy: Pakistani National, Local Girl Detained in Uri, Baramulla
JAMMU, JUNE 01, 2026 [VoM News]: A Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) national and a local girl have been detained by Army personnel near the Silikote area in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir.

As per reliable sources, the PoK national has been identified as Zeeshan Ahmed Mir, son of Lal Din Mir, a resident of Painkadi village in Muzaffarabad district of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, while the local girl has been identified as Iram Bano, daughter of Abdul Majid Mir, a resident of Tilawari in Baramulla.
Meanwhile, an investigation has been taken up. As per reliable sources, the preliminary investigation suggests the involvement of a cross-border relationship, but all angles are being closely examined.
Both individuals are currently in the custody of the concerned Army unit, where they are being further questioned.
Officials said the exact circumstances surrounding the incident are being verified and a detailed investigation is expected to reveal more details.
