
JK Police Host Martyrs Memorial Cricket Tournament in Ramban
Ramban, February 15, 2025 – The Jammu and Kashmir Police have organized the Martyrs Memorial Cricket Tournament at the District Police Line in Ramban as part of the Civic Action Program 2024-2025. The tournament aims to promote sports, foster community engagement, and encourage youth participation in constructive activities.
The tournament is being overseen by DIG DKR Range, Sh. Shridhar Patil (IPS), while SSP Ramban, Shri Kulbir Singh (JKPS) officially inaugurated the event in the presence of Additional SP Ramban, Shri Gourav Mahajan (JKPS).
A total of 16 teams from different areas of District Ramban are competing in the tournament. The initiative seeks to channel the energy of young people into sports and fitness, keeping them engaged in positive activities while discouraging substance abuse.
This tournament aligns with the J&K Police’s ongoing commitment to community policing and youth development, reinforcing their efforts to build stronger ties between law enforcement and the public through sports.
