JK Police Release Sketches of Terrorists Behind July 8 Attack

Jammu, Aug 10: The Jammu and Kashmir Police have released sketches of four terrorists suspected to be involved in the July 8 attack that claimed the lives of five Army personnel, including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO).
The terrorists were last seen in the Dhoks areas of Bani, Malhar, and Seojdhar in Kathua district, and the police are actively seeking public assistance to trace them.
A reward of ₹5 lakhs (₹500,000) is being offered for actionable information leading to the capture or identification of each terrorist. The police have assured the public that the identity of informants will remain confidential, aiming to encourage more individuals to come forward with valuable information.

The July 8 attack is part of a disturbing pattern of recent terror incidents in the Jammu region. In addition to this attack, the region witnessed a deadly assault on a pilgrim bus in Reasi on June 9, resulting in the deaths of 11 passengers.
A week after the July 8 incident, another attack occurred on July 15, where four soldiers, including a Captain, were killed during an encounter with terrorists in the Desa forests of Doda district.
The police are intensifying efforts to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for these brutal attacks. The public’s cooperation is seen as crucial in preventing further violence and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
