Jammu Police Recover Stolen Property Worth ₹150000 in Burglary Case

On July 12, 2024 Police Post Bathindi in Jammu received a complaint from Dr. Aniza Waseem, who reported a burglary at her residence in Chirag Colony, Bathindi. The stolen items included valuable copper and silver utensils, along with water taps.

The case, registered as FIR No. 157/2024 under sections 457/380 of the IPC, was assigned to Lady Head Constable Rubina Bano.

The investigation, conducted by a team led by SHO PS Bahu Fort Jammu, Inspector Vijay Sharma, and supported by SI Shakil Ahmed and Lady I.O. Rubina Bano, progressed significantly.

On July 25, 2024, under the guidance of SDPO City East Jammu and overall supervision by SP City South Jammu, the police recovered all the stolen items.

This was made possible due to the crucial disclosures made by the arrested suspects, Rohit Patel, a resident of M.P. now residing in Sector No. 2, Channi Himmat, Jammu, and Noor Mohammad, originally from Myanmar and currently residing in Bathindi Morh, Jammu.

The total value of the recovered property amounted to ₹150,000.

The successful recovery and resolution of this case have been met with commendation from the public, who have praised the diligent efforts of the Jammu Police.
