Jammu, 20.07.2024 : In a determined effort to combat illegal mining and prevent exploitation of public resources, Jammu Police has taken stringent measures against offenders involved in these unlawful activities.
As part of this crackdown, multiple operations were conducted in the South Zone of District Jammu, leading to significant seizures.
The latest operation saw the intervention of PP Phallain Mandal under the leadership of PSI Harish Chander. This decisive action resulted in the detention of five tractor trollies loaded with sand, which were being transported illegally.
These vehicles were seized under the jurisdiction of Police Station Satwari in South Zone by the Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP).
Following the detention of these vehicles, the District Mining Officer was immediately informed to ensure that the necessary legal procedures were initiated.
This collaboration aims to reinforce the legal framework and ensure that those involved in illegal mining activities face appropriate consequences.
