In a significant encounter in the Gandoh area of Doda, three militants were killed in the Sinoo Forest. The gunfight, which started around 9:50 AM, saw the security forces successfully neutralize the threat after cordoning off the area.

The Doda police had recently released sketches of militants spotted in the upper regions of Doda. Drones were deployed to monitor the situation and track the militants’ movements, enhancing the effectiveness of the operation.

During the encounter, a senior constable was injured and is currently undergoing treatment at GMC & AH Doda.

In recent weeks, the Doda and Kathua districts have experienced increased terrorist activity. Terrorists attacked a patrolling party in Chattergalla, and there was an exchange of fire at Kota Top. In response, Doda police initiated surveillance and search operations using drones in areas such as Parmaz, Ganpat, and Bhaderwah.

The successful operation in Gandoh underscores the ongoing efforts of security forces to combat terrorism in the region.
