Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has firmly rejected the reconciliation proposal from Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor, asserting it will not engage with those it labels as “mandate thieves,” reported ARY News. This response came after dialogue offers from Minister for Petroleum Division Musadik Malik and KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi.

A PTI spokesperson dismissed the offer, stating it came from individuals who lack the authority or credibility to mediate. The spokesperson further accused the proponents of the dialogue of being imposed through a “fake mandate” and described them as “national criminals” unqualified to make decisions in the nation’s interest.

PTI’s position remains that parties like PML-N, Pakistan People’s Party, and Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan, which it considers “mandate thieves,” are not legitimate negotiation partners. The PTI official emphasized that these groups should apologize to the nation and return the mandate to the “real representatives.”

Previously, Minister Musadik Malik highlighted that PML-N leadership has consistently advocated for dialogue and reconciliation. He reiterated the party’s commitment to a charter of economy and democracy, expressing a desire to progress with all political factions. Malik noted that despite PTI’s reluctance, PML-N leaders, including Khawaja Saad Rafique, Khawaja Asif, and Shehbaz Sharif, were imprisoned under the PTI-led government.

Malik criticized PTI’s “double standards” regarding dialogue, suggesting the party has shown no genuine interest in engaging with PML-N.
