Staff members of Balochistan University, including both teaching and non-teaching staff, took to the streets of Quetta in protest over unpaid salaries spanning four months. Expressing frustration, they questioned why funds were withheld while other departments received timely allocations.
The protesters directed their appeals to Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti and his parliamentary committee, urging them to honor commitments and release funds promptly.
A previous sit-in held in front of the Balochistan Assembly drew attention to their plight, leading to a march through Quetta’s main roads to highlight the financial strain caused by the salary delays.
