Lal Singh Predicts Sweeping Winds of Change Across the Nation
Congress candidate from Udhampur-Kathua-Doda constituency and former MP, Ch Lal Singh, launched a scathing attack on the BJP leadership, citing a perceived nationwide shift due to their apathetic and dictatorial approach.
Singh, while addressing public meetings in various areas including Kishtwar, Drabshalla, Kashtigarh, Dessa, and Marmat, highlighted the growing realization among the common people that they have been exploited by the current regime over the past decade. He emphasized that grievances are being ignored, and individuals are being victimized under various pretexts such as property tax, toll tax, GST, and labor tax.
Lal Singh Predicts Sweeping Winds of Change:Plight of the Youth
Singh particularly pointed out the plight of the youth, labeling them as the worst sufferers in the present era. He attributed this to the government’s focus on privatization and favoritism towards select industrialists, neglecting the interests of the local populace. Singh questioned the absence of advertisements for teaching and educational positions, which previously benefitted rural youth, during the past decade.
The former MP criticized the present regime for what he perceived as step-motherly treatment towards local employees and blatant nepotism. He claimed that only individuals with connections are being awarded lucrative positions, disregarding the potential of local talent.
“If given the opportunity, I pledge to prioritize the employment of local youth in every project within our state. My allegiance will always lie with my own people, and I will champion their legitimate demands, including those of daily wage earners, special police officers, and casual workers of various departments,” Lal Singh affirmed.
Senior NC leader Sajjad Kitchloo, former MLC Naresh Gupta, and several other Congress leaders echoed Singh’s sentiments during their addresses to the gathered crowd.
