AAP Unveils Second List of Candidates for Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh Elections

As the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh draw nearer, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has unveiled its second list of candidates, further solidifying its presence in these states. The new list comprises 29 candidates for Madhya Pradesh and 12 for Chhattisgarh, following the party’s earlier announcement of 10 candidates for each state.

AAP’s Past Electoral Performance

In the 2018 assembly elections, AAP contested 208 seats in Madhya Pradesh and 85 in Chhattisgarh, yet it failed to secure any seats. Madhya Pradesh saw the Congress emerging as the leading party with 114 seats, closely trailed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with 109 seats. In Chhattisgarh, the Congress achieved a resounding victory, ending the BJP’s 15-year reign.

Candidate Details

The newly released list for Madhya Pradesh showcases a diverse group of candidates hailing from various backgrounds and constituencies. Notable candidates include Ramani Devi Jatav from Bhander (SC constituency), Rahul Kushwah from Bhind, Satinder Bhadoriya from Mehgaon, and Mohd Saood from Bhopal Uttar. In Chhattisgarh, candidates include Raja Ram from Shyam Pratappur, Dev Prashad Koshle from Sarangarh, Vijay Jaiswal from Kharsia, and Pankaj James from Kota, among others.
