
PoJK Protesters Speaking ‘Language of Bharat,’ Not Kashmiris or Pakistanis: Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif
New Delhi, June 21, 2026 [VoM News]: Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has made a tall claim that the ongoing unrest in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir is India sponsored, not the actual voices of the people.
He claimed that the voices behind the protests do not represent Kashmiris or Pakistanis but instead reflect the “language of Bharat.”

Reacting to the anti-government demonstrations in the region, Asif alleged that those participating in the protests were acting as proxies for India.
As the demonstrations are going in Pakistan occupied Jammu Kashmir where thousands of people are on the roads and streets demanding the basic facilities being denied by the administration.
Khawaja’s remarks came amid reports the of growing public discontent and demonstrations in parts of PoJK over governance, economic issues and political grievances also.
Observers across the globe are highly condemned the excessive use of force on prople protesting for their rights, while India has demanded Pakistan to vacate to the occupied territory.
Earlier, Ministry of External Affairs released the statement that global community should hold the Pakistan accountable for the atrocities, human rights abuses, open firing incident being committed in Pakistan occupied Jammu Kashmir.
Pakistani govt calls it as an indication of Islamabad’s concern over the rising anti-government sentiment in the region, while political reactions to the remarks have continued to emerge from both sides of the Line of Control.
