Iran Executes Alleged Mossad Agent for 2023 Attack on Military Site
Iran has executed an individual it claims attempted to sabotage a defense ministry site in Isfahan last year.
The state television referred to the executed person as an unnamed “Mossad terrorist” who allegedly tried to blow up a defense ministry workshop complex on January 28, 2023, in the central Iranian province.
The attempted sabotage was linked to a drone attack on the military installation, which Iran claimed to have foiled, attributing the incident to Israel.
At the time, U.S. officials cited by Western media also believed Israel was behind the attack. The execution underscores the ongoing tensions and accusations between Iran and Israel in the region.
