JK Local Bodies Laws Amendment-Bill, 2024 Presented in Lok Sabha for Regulatory Modifications
On Monday, a proposal aimed at modifying regulations pertaining to local governing bodies in Jammu and Kashmir was presented in the Lok Sabha. Minister of State for Home, Nityanand Rai, introduced the bill on behalf of Home Minister Amit Shah.
The proposed legislation, known as the Jammu and Kashmir Local Bodies Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2024, aims to make amendments to the Jammu and Kashmir Panchayati Raj Act, 1989, as well as the Jammu and Kashmir Municipal Act, 2000, and the Jammu and Kashmir Municipal Corporation Act, 2000.
