Revolutionary Changes in India-US Relationship: Outgoing Indian Ambassador
Outgoing Indian Ambassador to the United States, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, highlighted revolutionary changes in the India-US relationship, stating that the bilateral ties have only scratched the surface and are poised to expand significantly.
Speaking at a Republic Day celebration for Indian Americans, Mr. Sandhu emphasized the importance of the second generation remaining connected to India.
He noted that as international capital and multinational companies invest in India, young Indian Americans would be uniquely positioned to benefit from job opportunities.
Mr. Sandhu, retiring after over 35 years in the foreign service, urged the community to stay connected for emotional, cultural, economic, and commercial reasons.
Broadening Horizons: India-US Relationship Beyond the Tip of the Iceberg
Addressing another farewell reception organized by the Indian American Business Impact Group, Mr. Sandhu expressed that the India-US relationship has only touched the tip of the iceberg.
He mentioned the expanding dimensions, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), where India is expected to play a crucial role.
Predicting India’s critical role in the recovery of the world economy, Mr. Sandhu encouraged Indian Americans to maintain connections for the career prospects, jobs, and growth of their children.
Acknowledgment and Felicitation for Strengthening Ties
Community leaders felicitated Mr. Sandhu for his role in strengthening the India-US relationship.
The outgoing ambassador highlighted the wide-ranging potential of the relationship, extending beyond the current achievements.
As he concludes his diplomatic service, Mr. Sandhu’s remarks underscore the evolving and dynamic nature of India-US ties.
