    The Meteorological Department announced on Wednesday that the prolonged dry spell is anticipated to come to an end by the upcoming weekend, with predictions of snow and rain in both the plains and higher elevations during the last week of January.

    According to IANS, Kashmir is expected to experience snowfall from January 26 to February 1. Additionally, between January 28 and 29, various locations are likely to witness light to moderate snowfall in lower, middle, and higher elevations, with the possibility of light to moderate snowfall at widespread places between January 30 and 31.

    In the midst of this weather change, Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of minus 5.3 degrees Celsius, Gulmarg registered minus 4.8 degrees Celsius, and Pahalgam recorded minus 6.3 degrees Celsius.
