Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president and former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed opposition to the idea of postponing the upcoming elections, emphasizing that it would be detrimental to the country and democracy. In an interview with a private news station, Shehbaz Sharif asserted that the PML-N has initiated its election campaign, rejecting any attempts to delay the polls.

Shehbaz Sharif’s Stance on Election Significance

Shehbaz Sharif declared that the general elections scheduled for February 8 are “all-important” and will determine Pakistan’s fate. Encouraging people to envision the “map of the future” based on historical analysis, he highlighted that the PML-N, led by senior leaders Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, and Hamza Shehbaz, has already commenced its election campaign.

Reflections on Political Landscape and Ousted Administration

Expressing regret over the removal of three-time Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif suggested that this event hindered the country’s prosperity. He emphasized Nawaz Sharif’s commitment to the nation’s progress and pointed out the achievements of the PML-N-led administration, including the eradication of load shedding and improvements in the agriculture sector.

Critique of Former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar

Shehbaz Sharif labeled former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar as ‘a pawn,’ alleging that he was utilized to remove Nawaz Sharif’s administration, disrupting the country’s growth trajectory.
