Marriott to Launch Moxy Hotels in India, Starting with Bengaluru Airport Property
Marriott International is set to introduce its ‘young’ hotel brand Moxy in India, with the first property opening at Bengaluru Airport. The 128-room hotel, owned by realty developer Prestige Group, will be followed by three more mid-market, economy lifestyle hotels in Mumbai, Chennai, and a second property in Bengaluru. Moxy Hotels, a successful brand globally, caters to the young demographic and features communal areas instead of traditional check-in counters. Marriott aims to tap into India’s growing demand for various hotel categories and plans to launch 15 more properties in the country by the end of 2024. The company aims to have 250 Marriott hotels in India by 2025, making it the third-largest market for the firm.
