He underscored the empowerment felt by Pakistani refugees, Gorkhas, and others settled in Jammu and Kashmir post the abrogation of Article 370.
Political reservations were granted to Kashmiri Pandits, allowing them to obtain domicile certificates in Jammu and Kashmir, regardless of their place of residence.
Highlighting inclusive measures, Sinha mentioned the compensation of Rs 5.5 lakh given to PoJK and West Pakistani refugees, reservations for OBCs and Dalits in jobs and education, and the addition of new castes as OBCs.
Furthermore, nine seats in the Assembly were reserved for STs. Sinha noted the historic Muharram procession in Srinagar by Shias after a gap of 34 years.
