A 40-year-old individual identified as Sunil Singh was discovered lifeless with a gunshot wound near his farm in the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, according to officials. Singh sustained a gunshot to the head while engaged in hunting in the Gurha Slathia forest area, and it appears that he succumbed to his injuries on the spot, as reported by officials.

The authorities found Singh’s licensed 12-bore gun in close proximity to his body, and the body was subsequently removed from the location for postmortem examination. In an effort to determine the precise cause of his demise, the police have initiated inquest proceedings, cautioning that it is too early to determine whether Singh’s death resulted from a self-inflicted gunshot or if someone else was involved in the incident.
