J-k Government Terminates Four Employees
In a significant development, the Jammu and Kashmir government has taken decisive action by relieving the services of four employees on suspicion of their links to militancy. The individuals, encompassing a doctor, a police officer, a teacher, and a lab attendant employed in the Department of Higher Education, were terminated under Article 311 of the Constitution of India.
The dismissed individuals include Dr. Nisar ul Hassan, who served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at GMC Srinagar and hails from Achabal Sopore. Abdul Majid Bhat, a constable in the Jammu and Kashmir Police from Kunan Village in Kupwara, was also among those dismissed and reportedly faced arrest in connection to a drug case.Farooq Ahmad Mir, a teacher residing in Malik Mohalla Kupwara, and Abdul Salam Rather, a laboratory bearer in the higher education department from Yamrach Yaripora, were the other two employees terminated from service.

Article 311 dismissals do not necessitate an inquiry. The decision to terminate these government employees was part of a stringent approach aimed at curbing activities perceived as detrimental to national interests.
The government asserts that the dismissed individuals were engaged in actions posing a threat to national security and emphasizes that their suspected affiliations with terrorist groups warranted immediate action.Government sources disclose that the terminated doctor, police officer, teacher, and lab attendant were found to have connections with organizations actively working against the country’s interests. Authorities are particularly concerned about potential collaborations that could compromise regional stability.
Earlier statements from Lt Governor Manoj Sinha highlighted that the government had already terminated 55 employees due to their involvement in separatist activities and militancy.
