Political Repercussions and Blame Game
The ongoing violence has intensified the political atmosphere in the region, with TMC and BJP leaders engaging in a war of words. TMC MP Santanu Sen accused ‘hooligans’ of the BJP and CPI(M) of being involved in Laskar’s murder. In response, BJP MLA and West Bengal general secretary Agnimitra Paul criticized the state’s law and order situation, blaming the ruling party for the rise in criminal activities.
The series of violent incidents in West Bengal has heightened concerns about the security and political stability in the region, with the local administration and police forces facing challenges in maintaining peace and order.
