In an exclusive interview with Indian news agency VOM, International Mediator Faisal Muhammed urged Europe to establish its own defense alliance. He emphasized that relying on the U.S. has left the EU vulnerable, especially with the upcoming U.S. President Donald Trump hinting at a potential NATO withdrawal. “Europe must reclaim control of its security to navigate these turbulent times,” Faisal asserted, underlining the shifting global power dynamics.

Rising Global Tensions: A Prelude to WWIII?

Faisal painted a bleak picture of escalating global conflicts. “China is encircling Taiwan, and Russia is inching closer to a nuclear standoff with Ukraine,” he warned. In the Middle East, geopolitical shifts are alarming, with Israel allegedly targeting Syria while rebellion groups backed by Israel, the U.S., and Turkey dominate the region. Iran’s new isolation further tilts the balance westward, leaving Palestinians at greater risk. On Pakistan, Faisal foresees a Myanmar-style governance model silencing political dissent, particularly against former Prime Minister Imran Khan. He concluded, “These global transformations seem to align with preparations for the upcoming U.S. President Donald Trump’s return, pushing the world toward new horizons of conflict.”
