Vivo Expands X100 Series with Upcoming X100s and X100 Pro+ Models

Vivo, following the launch of its X100 series in China, is reportedly preparing to introduce two additional models to its lineup: the Vivo X100s and the Vivo X100 Pro+ (also referred to as the Vivo X100 Ultra). This expansion suggests Vivo’s commitment to diversifying its offerings in the high-end smartphone segment.

Vivo X100s: A New Addition with a Flat Display

According to a report by GizmoChina, citing information from the tipster Digital Chat Station, Vivo is set to announce the Vivo X100s. This model appears to be a variant of the existing Vivo X100 but with a significant design change: it will feature a flat display instead of the curved-edge screen seen on the Vivo X100. This alteration implies that the X100s might be positioned as a more affordable alternative within the series, retaining similar internal hardware to the Vivo X100.

Anticipated Launch and Features of the Vivo X100 Pro+

The Vivo X100 Pro+, which may also be known as the Vivo X100 Ultra, is tipped for a 2024 debut and is expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. This model is likely to represent the pinnacle of Vivo’s technological advancements in smartphone imaging, following the footsteps of its predecessor, the Vivo X100 Pro.

Vivo X100 Series: Current Specifications and Capabilities

The recently launched Vivo X100 boasts a 6.78-inch AMOLED 8T LTPO curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by a Dimensity 9300 SoC, and offers up to 16GB of RAM. Alongside the V3 imaging chip, the phone features a versatile camera setup, including a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 64-megapixel telephoto camera with 100X hybrid zoom. A 32-megapixel front-facing camera caters to selfie enthusiasts. Additionally, the device is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery supporting 120W wired charging and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

The upcoming Vivo X100s and X100 Pro+ models are poised to enhance Vivo’s portfolio, offering consumers a wider range of choices catering to different preferences and price points within the high-end smartphone market.
