Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir, Vice-Chairman of the District Development Council (DDC) Kupwara, had a meeting with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan. During the meeting, the Vice-Chairperson expressed his gratitude to the Lt Governor for his presence at the recently organized Bungus festival. He also took the opportunity to highlight various issues of public importance.
Additionally, a delegation representing the All Employees Joint Association Kashmir (Minorities) also met with the Lieutenant Governor to discuss their concerns and issues. Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat, Vice Chairperson of KVIB, was also present during the meeting.
In response to these concerns, the Lt Governor assured the employees that their issues would be addressed as a top priority. He took immediate action by directing the establishment of a helpline number and the appointment of a nodal officer within the office of the Divisional Commissioner in Kashmir. This mechanism is intended to resolve the grievances of minority employees working in the valley efficiently. Moreover, it will ensure that weekly district-wise reports on employee grievances are generated, fostering a streamlined resolution process.
