UNRWA Chief Firm on No Resignation Amid Allegations
Philippe Lazzarini, the head of the United Nations agency UNRWA, has affirmed that he has “no intention to resign” in response to allegations that some staff members were involved in the attack on Israel on October 7.
The agency, responsible for providing aid to Palestinians in Gaza, has faced funding suspensions from several donor countries since the accusations surfaced.
UNRWA has taken action by initiating an investigation and dismissing staff members accused of participating in the attack.
