United States Military Lanches Fresh Strikes In Iran, Bandar Abaas Site Reportedly Targetted
WASHINGTON, MAY 26, 2026 [VoM News]: A big news is coming from the global centre amid the US-Iran conflict, as the United States military reportedly conducted fresh strikes targetting sites near the Strait of Hormuz in southern Iran.
As per details available with VoM News, the strikes were launched after Iranian vessels were found operating near a key shipping zone in the Strait of Hormuz.
Media reports say that a surface-to-air missile site in Bandar Abbas, which was posing a threat to American aircraft, was reportedly targetted by the American military.

Several explosions were heard across several areas near the Strait of Hormuz, Fox News reported. However, United States officials said that, for now, the operation has ended.
Meanwhile, sources within the Trump administration have denied the claims that the attack signals the shuttering of the ceasefire agreement that took place on April 8.
US Central Command stated that the strikes were aimed at protecting American troops from Iranian threats, whereas CENTCOM, in a post, stated that it would continue to defend the forces with restraint amid the ongoing ceasefire.
