In a noteworthy achievement, farmers in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir, have successfully cultivated over 3,000 quintals of mushrooms, generating a revenue of at least Rs 6 crore.

Sanjay Anand, the Chief Agriculture Officer of Udhampur, highlighted that this year, the Union Territory has seen the addition of 500 new growers who collectively planted approximately 1 lakh bags of mushrooms.

In the current year, our network welcomed 500 new growers, contributing to the cultivation of over 1 lakh bags of mushrooms in the Udhampur district.
