Two Separate Accidents in J-K’s Rajouri Claim 2 Lives and Leave Five Injured

In separate accidents in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, two people lost their lives while five others were injured.

According to information obtained by VoM, the first accident occurred on the Jammu-Rajouri National Highway, where a Maruti vehicle with registration number JK11 E-3029 overturned near Thalka area, resulting in the immediate death of the vehicle’s driver and injuring another person.

The driver, identified as Zubair Ahmed, son of Mohd Akram, and the injured individual, Wajid Hussain Shah, son of Farzaan Hussain Shah, were both taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Police sources have stated that an investigation into the incident is currently underway.

In another separate incident, around 1:00 pm, a Tempo vehicle with registration number JK11A-1941 overturned near Kotranka, leading to the death of one individual, Mohd Shakoor, son of Mohd Basheer from Phalni, and injuring four others.

The injured were initially taken to the Community Center in Kundi and later transferred to GMC Rajouri for further medical attention. Police have registered a case in connection with this incident, and investigations are ongoing, as confirmed by police sources.
