    Doda, July 22 (VoM News): Two people have lost their lives, while three are injured after a massive boulder fell onto a moving tempo on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.

    As per reports gathered by VoM News, the boulder struck the tempo bearing
    registeration number JK06B-9842, which was on the way from Srinagar to Doda near Gangroo in Ramban district today.

    As per the officials, two passengers died on the spot, while three others sustained injuries.

    All the victims are reportedly residents of Kastigarh in Doda district.

    Police, rescue teams and civil authorities rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the Primary Health Centre (PHC), Ramsoo, while the bodies of the deceased were taken for medico-legal formalities.

    Later, the clearance operation was carried out to restore smooth traffic movement after damaged vehicle was removed from the highway.

    Meanwhile, authorities have stated that the cognisance of the incident has been taken, and further investigation is underway.
