Trump Lashes Out at Own Supreme Court Picks After Court Blocks Mail-Ballot Restrictions

Sept 15 (Reuters) – President Donald Trump lashed out ​Tuesday at the U.S. Supreme Court justices ‌he appointed after the high court declined to let the U.S. Postal Service enforce a rule targeting ​mail-in ballots before November midterm elections.

The ​Republican president assailed the justices as being ⁠influenced by Democrats in making rulings against ​policies he espoused, including the global tariff regime ​and his attempt to restrict birthright citizenship. The court has a 6-3 conservative majority.

“This Supreme Court is bullied and ​cajoled by the Radical Left into ​making decisions that have set America back at least ‌a ⁠hundred years,” the Republican president wrote on social media.

“These are not the people I interviewed to serve on the United States Supreme ​Court, they ​are merely ⁠a shell of their original selves,” he continued on Truth Social. “It ​is a Court that will go ​down ⁠as having rendered some of the most destructive, hurtful, and damaging decisions in our Country’s history.”

Trump ⁠said ​the mail-in voting ruling was ​a “big loss” for Republicans.
