In a tragic incident on Tuesday, four tourists from Kerala lost their lives in a road accident on the Zojila Pass, located in the Ganderbal district of central Kashmir. The accident occurred when the vehicle carrying the tourists veered off the road and plunged into a deep gorge.

Injuries and Immediate Medical Response

Two other individuals in the vehicle sustained injuries in the accident. They were quickly transported to a nearby healthcare facility for immediate treatment. Due to the critical nature of the injuries sustained by one of the individuals, they were subsequently shifted to SKIMS Soura for advanced medical care.

Investigation and Safety Measures

The incident highlights the need for enhanced road safety measures, especially in mountainous and challenging terrains like the Zojila Pass, known for its treacherous conditions.
