Traffic Offenses Result in Fines for 130 Vehicles in Central Kashmir
Senior Superintendent of Police Traffic Rural Kashmir, Ravinder Pal Singh, conducted a thorough review of traffic management in the central Kashmir area of Ganderbal on Thursday.
During the vehicle inspection, 130 vehicles were identified for violating traffic laws, particularly for lacking High Security Registration Plates (HSRP), seat belts, helmets, and necessary documents. Subsequently, fines were imposed on the erring drivers, coupled with advice to adhere to traffic rules and regulations.

Singh emphasized the importance of compliance, urging two-wheeler riders to wear crash helmets, avoid triple riding, and refrain from reckless, dangerous, and zigzag driving.Addressing the media, Singh highlighted the increasing number of complaints related to traffic issues.
He expressed the department’s concern and urged the authorities, including the SMC Ganderbal, to take action against those encroaching upon footpaths. Additionally, Singh advocated for the designation of prescribed parking spaces for vehicles to alleviate congestion and improve overall traffic management in the area.
