Nifty Ends Up 0.44%, Hindustan Zinc Soars, NTPC Leads Gainers

The Nifty closed at 21957.5, up by 0.44% for the day, hitting a high of 22131.3 and a low of 21950.3. The Sensex closed 0.36% higher at 72404.17, reaching between 72946.54 and 72366.29 during the day.

1. Nifty Midcap 50 outperformed Nifty 50, closing 1.12% higher.
2. Small cap stocks outperformed Nifty 50, Nifty Small Cap 100 up by 0.69%.
3. Nifty 50 saw declines in the last week and month, with gains in 3, 6, and 12 months.

The top gainers in the Nifty were Bharat Petroleum Corporation, NTPC, Power Grid Corporation Of India, Hero Motocorp, and JSW Steel. Tata Consultancy Services, Cipla, LTI Mindtree, Infosys, and Kotak Mahindra Bank were the top losers.

In the Bank Nifty, the top gainers were NTPC, Power Grid Corporation Of India, Asian Paints, ITC, and Bharti Airtel. Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, Wipro, HDFC Bank, and Mahindra & Mahindra were the top losers.

Nifty MidCap 50 saw UPL, Polycab India, Astral, Coforge, and Aditya Birla Capital as top gainers. Godrej Properties, ACC, Indian Hotels Company, L&T FINANCE, and Bharat Forge were the top losers.

In Nifty Small Cap 100, IIFL Finance, Manappuram Finance, Hindustan Copper, JBM Auto, and Tejas Networks were the top gainers. Arham Technologies, IRB Infrastructure Developers, Piramal Pharma, Rox Hi Tech, and Birlasoft were the top losers.

On the BSE, Jindal Worldwide, Honeywell Automation India, UPL, Endurance Technologies, and JSW Energy were the top gainers. IRB Infrastructure Developers, Clara Industries, Home First Finance Company India, Birlasoft, and Sobha were the top losers.

On the NSE, Vijaya Diagnostic Centre, Honeywell Automation India, Master Components, Endurance Technologies, and UPL were the top gainers. Arvind & Company Shipping Agencies, Viviana Power Tech, Sungarner Energies, Arham Technologies, and Jai Balaji Industries were the top losers.
