Theatre Technician at SDH Sopore Suspended Following Suspension of 2 Doctors

After suspending two doctors, the Jammu and Kashmir government has suspended a theatre technician at SDH Sopore, pending an inquiry into the wrong surgery at Hakeem Sonaullah Hospital.

As per the order, “Pending enquiry into the incident that occurred on 03.02.2025 at Hakeem Sonaullah Hospital, Sopore, and to ensure a fair and impartial investigation, while maintaining the integrity of the healthcare system, Mr. Ghulam Nabi, Theatre Technician, SDH Sopore, is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect and shall remain attached with the Directorate of Health Services, Jammu, till further orders.”

Earlier yesterday, two doctors were suspended, and the operation theatre of Hakeem Sonaullah Hospital, Sopore, was sealed after a patient scheduled for ear surgery underwent uterus removal instead. (JKNS)
