
Student Hospitalized After Being Shot in South Kashmir
A young student, identified as Sahil Bashir, was wounded in a shooting incident on Wednesday evening in the Watrigam Wanihama region of Anantnag district. According to a senior police official cited by GNS, the attack was carried out by unidentified gunmen believed to be militants.
Sahil Bashir, the son of Bashir Ahmad Dar and a resident of Watrigam Dialgam, was targeted while he was in the Wanihama area. The assailants fired upon him, resulting in a gunshot wound to his neck. Following the attack, he was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
As of the time of this report, there is no information available regarding his current medical condition. In response to the incident, local authorities swiftly cordoned off the entire area in an effort to apprehend the attackers.
