Poonch ;January 22: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Poonch, Sh. Shafkat Hussain, JKPS, accompanied by Additional SP, Sh. Mohan Sharma, conducted a significant visit across the fence in Village Degwar Terwan, near the Zero Point.
The visit aimed to assess the ground realities and address the concerns of the inhabitants residing in this sensitive border area.
During the visit, the officers interacted extensively with the local residents, listened to their grievances, and assured them of timely and effective redressal.
The issues raised by the inhabitants ranged from security concerns to infrastructure challenges, reflecting their unique circumstances due to the village’s proximity to the Line of Control (LoC).

SSP Shafkat Hussain emphasized the commitment of the district police administration to ensuring the safety and well-being of all citizens, particularly those living in border areas.
