SSP Kishtwar Conducts Successful Thana Diwas in Padder to Address Local Issues
Kishtwar, July 11, 2024:- In an effort to strengthen community engagement and address local issues, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishtwar, Sh. Abdul Qayoom-JKPS, visited the Padder area and conducted a successful “Thana Diwas” program.
The “Thana Diwas” initiative was also conducted at all police stations in Kishtwar, Chatroo, Marwah & Warwan by the supervisory officers.
During his visit, SSP Kishtwar reviewed the security situation in the region and inspected the functioning of Police Station Atholi, providing necessary directions and instructions to the personnel posted there.
SSP Kishtwar led the “Thana Diwas” program, which was attended by esteemed members of the community, including senior civil society representatives, shopkeeper associations, and respected individuals from the Atholi Padder area. The participants actively engaged with the SSP, raising several important issues.
SSP Kishtwar demonstrated a patient and attentive approach, listening carefully to the concerns raised by the participants.
He assured them that police-related matters would be given utmost priority, and issues pertaining to civil administration would be taken up with the District Administration for swift resolution.
During the program, SSP Kishtwar urged the participants to extend their cooperation to the Police and Administration in maintaining law and order. He emphasized the importance of identifying and reporting anti-national and anti-social elements to ensure the safety and security of the region.
Additionally, the participants were apprised about the risks associated with cybercrimes and the modus operandi of cyber criminals. He also highlighted the importance of awareness in effectively combating these modern-day challenges.
In a gesture of goodwill and support for education, SSP Kishtwar also distributed school bags and stationery items among the students under the civic action programme (CAP) of J&K Police, encouraging them to pursue their studies with dedication and enthusiasm.
The participants expressed their gratitude to SSP Kishtwar for his visit and appreciated the initiative of the Jammu and Kashmir Police in organizing the “Thana Diwas.” They acknowledged that this initiative would play a crucial role in promptly addressing their concerns.
