Asif Ahmad, Assistant Floriculture Officer of the Tulip Garden, revealed the exciting details. “We’ve almost finished planting the bulbs,” he said, “and a breathtaking 1.7 million will be on display, a whole million more than last year!”But that’s not all. Six new tulip varieties, fresh from the Dutch soil, will join the vibrant tapestry of 68 varieties that captivated visitors last year.
Imagine the kaleidoscope of colors and delicate forms waiting to unfold!”We’re expecting even more visitors this year,” Ahmad said, his voice brimming with anticipation. “Last year’s record of 3.65 lakh tourists was incredible, but we hope to surpass it with this magnificent display.”And the surprises don’t stop there.

A mesmerizing Sakura garden is nearing completion next to the tulip haven, promising a touch of Japanese charm in the years to come. Additionally, 50 kanals of new green spaces have been developed for visitors to relax and soak in the beauty of the surroundings.”Imagine sitting amidst the tulips and enjoying the breathtaking landscape,” Ahmad enthused. “It’s going to be a scintillating experience for everyone.”The garden is meticulously cared for by a dedicated team of over 100 people, including permanent gardeners and casual laborers.
Their hard work and dedication ensure that the tulips bloom in all their glory.Planting began on November 15th, and thanks to favorable weather, everything is on schedule. The garden is likely to open its doors anytime after March 20th, 2024, depending on the temperature.
