
South Kashmir Land Dispute Clash Leaves Seven Injured
A confrontation between two rival factions in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district has resulted in injuries to seven individuals. The dispute erupted in the Panzgam area, initially revolving around a land disagreement but ultimately escalating into a physical brawl.
The injured parties, all residents of Panzgam, have been identified as Mohd Ashraf Rather, Abdul Rashid Doie, Shakil Ahmad Kasana, Zeena Begum, Fatma Begum, Showkat Ahmad Bakerwal, and Reshma Bano. They found themselves caught up in the dispute and sustained injuries during the altercation. Promptly, they were transported to a nearby hospital, where they received immediate medical attention. Subsequently, they were referred to Sub-District Hospital Kokernag for more comprehensive care and evaluation.
Authorities are treating the incident with utmost seriousness, with an official confirming the registration of a case linked to the clash. Simultaneously, an ongoing investigation has been launched to ascertain the circumstances that led to the altercation and to determine any legal consequences that may arise.
