SKIMS-Director Position Open for 5-Year Tenure in J-k Health Department
The Health and Medical Education Department of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir invites applications for the position of Director at the Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Science (SKIMS), Soura. This opportunity is open to Indian Nationals, and interested candidates are required to apply online.
The selected candidate will be appointed on a tenure basis for a maximum period of five years or until reaching the age of 65, whichever comes earlier. Applicants should not exceed the age of 62 as of January 1, 2023. The Governing body of Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences will be responsible for making the appointment.

To be eligible for the position, candidates must possess a postgraduate qualification in Medicine, Surgery, or Public Health, as specified by the National Medical Council. Additionally, they should have a minimum of ten years of teaching and research experience, along with a total of 25 years of experience in the relevant field. Practical and administrative experience in medical research, medical education, medical relief, or public health organization is essential. Moreover, candidates should have experience heading or being the Head of Department of a significant scientific medical education institution.
The appointed individual will receive a fixed pay of Rs 2,25,000. It is noteworthy that recommendations from a government department, University, or Statutory Institution will also be considered as applications.
