
Shri Manohar Lal Lays Foundation Stone for 1000-Seater Auditorium in UP, Supported by REC Limited’s CSR Initiative of ₹7.02 Crore
Siddharthnagar, Uttar Pradesh: Shri Manohar Lal, Hon’ble Minister of Power & Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, laid the foundation stone for a state-of-the-art 1000-seater Community Auditorium, in Siddharth Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. The Auditorium is being jointly funded by REC, PFC and NTPC. REC Limited, a Maharatna CPSU and a leading NBFC under the Ministry of Power, has agreed to support ₹7.02 Crore under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The foundation stone-laying ceremony was attended by the Executive Director (CSR) of REC Limited and other senior officials, alongside enthusiastic local residents who expressed optimism about the project’s potential to energize the district’s cultural landscape.

The construction of this 1000-seater auditorium is expected to be completed within a stipulated time frame, ensuring that the district soon benefits from a modern, inclusive space for artistic and cultural expression. The Auditorium marks a substantial advancement in the cultural and community infrastructure of Siddharthnagar district.
REC Limited has committed ₹7.02 Crore to ensure the construction of this modern facility, designed to be a vibrant hub for community gatherings, cultural programs, and educational events.
