In a proactive operation, security forces successfully prevented an infiltration attempt along the International Border (IB) in the Khour sector of Akhnoor.
A vigilant guard noticed a group of four heavily armed terrorists attempting to infiltrate this side during the early hours of Saturday.
Upon identifying the intrusion, the security forces swiftly engaged the infiltrators with effective fire. As a result, one of the terrorists was hit and fell down during the exchange.
Despite the setback, the associates of the incapacitated terrorist managed to drag his body back across the IB, eluding the security forces’ efforts to apprehend them.
The operation displayed the alertness and proactive measures taken by the security personnel in thwarting this infiltration bid along the border.
