Security Forces Recover Arms Cache in Kupwara District
Security forces in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district announced on Friday the discovery of a significant arsenal, including arms, ammunition, and explosives, in a forested area.
According to an official, the recovery was made following specific intelligence provided by the BSF regarding the presence of terrorists in the Gangbug Forest area of Kupwara. A coordinated operation involving the BSF, Army, and Jammu and Kashmir Police was swiftly initiated.
The operation proved successful, resulting in the seizure of a substantial cache of weaponry and other military supplies. The official also mentioned that a cordon and search operation is currently ongoing in the area to ensure complete security.
