Samsung acknowledges touchscreen issue with Galaxy S23 on One UI 6.1, provides temporary fix
After rolling out the One UI 6.1 update to older Galaxy devices, Samsung faced complaints about touchscreen problems on Galaxy S23 series models. Users reported unresponsive screens, prompting Samsung to acknowledge the issue and offer a temporary fix.
The problem stemmed from compatibility issues with some Google app features, particularly the Google Discover feed. Samsung advised affected users to update the Google app via Google Play, delete its data, and restart their devices. Google is reportedly working on a permanent fix for the issue.
Despite the AI-focused enhancements introduced with One UI 6.1, including Live Translate and Chat Assist, users also reported charging and fingerprint scanner issues post-update. The update, initially rolled out in March, aims to enhance the Galaxy AI experience but encountered technical glitches on certain devices.
