
Samba Police Seizes 14 More Bikes Including 09 Fitted With Modified Silencers
Samba February 17: Continuing its drive against traffic rule violators, Samba Police has seized fourteen two wheelers including nine motorcycles fitted with modified silencers across the district.

The action against the two-wheelers fitted with modified silencers was taken by Samba Police after numerous complaints pouring from the public about the nuisance these bikes (Bullets) were creating in the area. The seized two wheelers includes JK08N-1623, JK21G-9584, JK02BS-5772, JK08H-5321, JK08F-2554, JK21E-8677, JK21E-5027, JK02CJ-7844 and PB06AE-2567.

Unauthorized modification to the vehicle silencers is illegal under the Motor Vehicles Act. Such alterations not only contribute to noise pollution but can also reduce the efficiency of the bike and pose safety risks.
DIG Traffic Jammu Interacts With Tour Operators At Bus Stand Jammu
Besides this, 05 bikes were also seized by the police under the relevant sections of Motor Vehicle Act for violating other traffic rules. The seized two wheelers includes JK02AH-4731, JK21A-4742, JK02AF-0548, JK02AB-6693 and HR02E-6041.
SSP Samba warned that strict action will be taken against those possessing bikes with modified silencers and asserted that such drive will continue in future also.
