A tragic incident occurred in the Rajouri sector, as reported by officials on Tuesday, when a military personnel stationed at the Line of Control (LoC) lost his life due to an accidental discharge of his weapon.

the incident transpired late in the evening while a military operations team was performing their routine duties at an advanced position. During the course of their duties, the service member’s weapon discharged unintentionally, resulting in a gunshot wound. Despite immediate evacuation to the army medical center, the individual ultimately succumbed to the injuries.
The official further conveyed that necessary legal protocols have been initiated in response to this unfortunate incident.
