Rescue Operation Concludes in Harda Factory Blast
The rescue operation in the aftermath of the firecracker factory blast in Harda, Madhya Pradesh, has been completed. The incident claimed 11 lives and left 173 injured. The rescue involved 32 fire tenders and 12 poclain machines. Authorities engaged around 1000 employees in the operation, using water to cool down debris and clear the site. The injured individuals are reportedly stable and undergoing treatment.
Suspension of Licences and Investigation
Two licences related to the firecracker factory have been suspended. The amount of explosives at the site will be determined after a thorough investigation. The state government has formed an investigation committee to probe the incident, and the investigation is underway. The rescue operation was extensive, involving multiple agencies to manage the aftermath of the massive explosion.
Arrests Made in Connection with Blast
Two individuals, Rajesh Aggarwal and Somesh Aggarwal, have been arrested in connection with the firecracker factory blast. They face charges under IPC Sections 304, 308, and 34, including culpable homicide. Another individual, Rafiq Khan, is being questioned in connection with the incident. The arrests aim to ascertain the circumstances leading to the blast and hold responsible parties accountable.
The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, has visited the injured admitted to Hamidia Hospital in Bhopal. He announced financial assistance to the families of the deceased and free treatment for the injured. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed condolences and announced financial aid for the affected, reflecting the severity of the tragic incident.
