Rahul Gandhi Links Parliament Breach to Soaring Unemployment and Rising Prices Under Modi’s Policies
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi attributed the December 13 Parliament security breach to the escalating issues of rising prices and unemployment. Following a poll preparedness meeting with leaders from the Congress’ Gujarat unit in New Delhi, Gandhi spoke to reporters, linking the security breach in Parliament to the challenges faced by the youth under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies.
Addressing the media, Gandhi questioned the cause of the security breach and emphasized that the predominant concern in the country revolves around unemployment, which he claimed is widespread due to Modi’s policies. He asserted, “There has been a security breach in Parliament. But why did it happen? The biggest issue in the country is that of unemployment, which is boiling all over the country. The country’s youth are not getting employment due to the policies of Modi ji.

On the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament terror attack, a significant security breach occurred when two individuals leaped into the Lok Sabha chamber from the public gallery during Zero Hour.
The intruders released yellow smoke from canisters and shouted slogans before being subdued by MPs. Gandhi continued to stress that while the breach occurred in Parliament, the root cause lies in the prevailing problems of unemployment and price rise.
The individuals involved in the breach—Sagar Sharma, Manoranjan D, Amol Shinde, Neelam Devi, and Lalit Jha—have all been arrested. Shinde and Devi released colored smoke and chanted slogans outside the Parliament premises, while Jha allegedly circulated protest videos on social media.
The opposition has intensified its efforts to hold the government accountable for the security breach, demanding a statement from Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Parliament.
Disruptions in both Houses have ensued as the opposition presses for answers regarding the breach and seeks clarity on the government’s stance.
